The city has a historic core with tosca porticos, Gothic bays, wrought iron gates and balconies and bright patios. The fortress church of Saint Bartolomé, is an example of late Gothic, of defensive character. You will stroll through the many narrow streets of the "casco antiguo" (old town) where you can stop and taste the famous tapas, discover the local architecture, its charming small shops, its archaeological and ethnographic museum, other stuff.

Aduanas del Mar is the urban center that has developed around the Port and represents the maritime and tourist district. Compulsory visit of the Church of Santa Maria de Loreto, an example of Expressionist architecture, realized during the 60's.

The Arenal is the tourist center of Javea, with its sandy beach, numerous bars, restaurants, nightclubs, shops and its night-time craft market along the promenade "paseo David Ferrer".
